Multi-session courses

INTO THE RABBIT HOLE is a multi-session course on creative research from the deep berry thicket of everyday weirdness. Our group of explorers will practice techniques for research that they don't necessarily teach you in school. This course will be especially useful for people on the verge of a new creative project or stuck or blocked in the middle of one. Into the Rabbit Hole is for any person with questions and curiosities about our world; no specific art or creative experience is necessary. You’ll go deep into (metaphorical) tunnels and brambles to emerge with arms full of juicy berries you didn’t even know existed!

Single session offerings

PUPPETEER YOUR LIFE is a 60 minute artist talk featuring lots of practical advice (did someone say budget? eep!) and lessons learned. It’s great for college students and/or adults transitioning into more creative lives and careers.

UNEXPECTED FICTION is a 90-minute comics playshop from the surprise subconscious of everyday weirdness. After a semi-collaborative character and world design sesh, you’ll be offered panel-by-panel prompts that'll make for a story you wouldn't have expected from your very own brains, heart, & hands. (All prompts are optional - you’re always free to go rogue with your comic!)

PAPER PEOPLE FOR GROWNUPS is a 90-minute collage playshop on remembering and becoming from the healing paper cut of everyday weirdness. Bring a friend or glide solo into this relaxed, identity-affirming crafting session. We will reminisce on early fashion choices of our younger selves and design paper dolls as manifestations of our fullest future selves.
